Tahiti est la plus célèbre des îles de Polynésie bien que ce soit l'île la moins visitée. On y a passé 2 jours: un à Papeete et un à faire le tour de l'île (Tahiti Nui) en voiture (114km). L'île est super jolie mais le côté sauvage est de plus en plus supplanté par l'urbanisation sauf la presqu'ile (Tahiti Iti) qui garde son côte sauvage. On y a d'ailleurs trouvé un très bon petit restaurant pour déjeuner au bord du lagon.
Tahiti est une île volcanique et donc la plupart des plages sont de sable noir. La végétation est abondante, le relief est spectaculaire et la route côtière est jalonnée de sites culturels et historiques.
Tahiti is the most famous islands of Polynesia, although it is the less visited. We were there for two days, one in Papeete and one visiting the island (Tahiti Nui) by car (114km). The island is really great but the wild coast is increasingly supplanted by urbanization except peninsula (Tahiti Iti) that keeps its wild side. And we found a great restaurant for lunch with a great view on the lagoon.
Tahiti is a volcanic island and so most of the beaches are black sand beaches. The vegatation is abundant, the landscape is spectacular and the coastal road is paved with cultural and historical sites.
