Maui est la deuxième île la plus grande de l'archipel après Big Island. L'île est beaucoup plus sauvage que O'ahu à part la côte ouest qui est envahie par les resorts et les parcours de golf.
La partie est de l'île est constituée du volcan (Haleakalā). On peut y monter et randonner dans son cratère et la route de Hana qui en fait le tour est magnifique. Elle mène à des endroits tous plus beaux les uns que les autres (Black Sand beach, Seven Sacred Pools...).
Notre appartement que nous avons loué avec airbnb était juste au bord de l'océan et c'était génial de profiter de la plage, des tortues et du magnifique paysage.
The island of Maui is the second largest island of the Hawaiian islands after Big Island. The island is much wilder than O'ahu except for the west coast which is invaded by resorts and golf courses.
The eastern part of the island is the volcano (Haleakalā). You can drive up and hike in the crater and the road to Hana that goes around the volcano is beautiful. It leads to beautiful places (Black Sand beach, Seven Sacred Pools ...).
Our apartment we rented with Airbnb was direct oceanfront and it was just great to enjoy the beach, turtles and the beautiful view.
